Araf 24-25

24- HE (ALLAH) SAID: “GO DOWN, YOU ARE ENEMIES TO EACH OTHER AND YOU WILL HAVE IN THE EARTH A PLACE TO SETTLE AND LIVE FOR A WHILE”.

25- HE SAID: “THERE YOU WILL LIVE, AND THERE YOU WILL DIE, AND FROM THEIR YOU WILL BE RESURRECTED”.

Allah the Highest sent Adam, Eve and Iblis (Satan) out of the garden, and they were told that they and their descendants will be enemies to each other.  It might also mean that there will always be animosity between the Children of Adam. This has certainly been the case since the first murder on Earth, and it is bound to continue to the Day of Resurrection.

The Earth has been our abode since, Allah the Highest provided us with what we need for our life of air, water, food and shelter.  The Earth is also our place of burial, and the earth eats away our bodies to go back to dust.  Allah the Highest said: “DID WE NOT MAKE THE EARTH SUFFICIENT FOR YOUR NEEDS * ALIVE AND DEAD”.  (S: 77 A: 25-26)

And from the Earth we will be resurrected and brought back to life on the Day of Resurrection.

Allah the Highest placed Adam and Eve on Earth, a place which has all we need.  The differences between the Earth and the Garden Adam and Eve lived in, are:

1-    On Earth we have to work to benefit from what it has, and on earth we are not safe from discomforts .

2-    On Earth we are not protected from the element and from the threats of nature and animals.

3-    On Earth there can be animosity and fights between men.

The change of the living conditions on the Garden and On Earth was a very significant drop in status and quality, hence “GO DOWN”.  It was certainly a big drop in living conditions and status for mankind. 

Allah the Highest however gives us the chance to go back to such life, but a great deal better, and eternally, through believing in Allah the Highest only and leading a righteous life as prescribed by Allah the Highest.  Our life in this lower form of living is very transient compared to the eternal life in the Hereafter.
