26- O CHILDREN OF ADAM, WE SENT DOWN TO YOU CLOTH TO COVER YOUR PRIVATE PARTS AND FOR BEATIFYING YOU, BUT THE GARMENT OF PIETY IS BETTER, THIS IS OF ALLAH’S AYAHS SO THAT THEY MAY REMEMBER .

Allah the Highest tells us that we were given what we need to dress and cover ourselves decently.  We wear cloth for decency and to protect us from the cold and the sun and heat.  We also wear cloths to beautify ourselves, including jewelry, gold, silver etc.  We also use cloths for our comfort, to cover seat and windows and beds etc.

Allah the Highest always provided us for what we want as well as need.  We have vegetables, meat and fish to eat and sweat fruit for sweet.   Allah the Highest provides us with coarse and fine cotton, course and fine wool and with silk.  These are what we need to look decent and beautify to us before people.  However, only one thing makes us decent and beautifies us before Allah the Highest, this is piety, for Allah the Highest said: “THE MOST HOUNOURABLE OF YOU BEFORE ALLAH IS THE MOST PIOUS”.  (S: 49 A: 13)

Piety protects the believers from all the elements which may affect her/him, beautifies a person in the Eyes of Allah the Highest and the pious people, and raises one in esteem before Allah the Highest as good garments raises a person in esteem before people.

Allah the Highest also called piety our best provision saying: “AND TAKE PROVISIONS AND THEY BEST PROVISION YOU TAKE IS PIETY”.  (S: 2 A: 197) Piety is being our best provision for the Hereafter.

Only those of sound minds and strong faith will remember what Allah the Highest is telling us and do what is good for our lower life and the Hereafter.
