Araf 27

27- O CHILDREN OF ADAM, DO NOT LET THE DEVIL TEMPT YOU AS HE GOT YOUR PARENTS OUT OF THE GARDEN, MAKING THEM LOSE THEIR GARMENTS, TO SHOW THEM THEIR PRIVATE PARTS, FOR HE AND CLAN SEE YOU WHILE YOU DO NOT SEE THEM, INDEED WE MADE THE DEVILS ALLIES AND SUPPORTERS FOR THOSE  WHO DO NOT BELIIEVE.

Allah the Highest warns us, the descendants of Adam and Eve, just as He warned our fore parents, not to let the devil and his descendants tempt us and get us out of Allah’s Mercy.  Satan and his descendants tempt us in every possible way to lead us astray and to disobey Allah the Highest.  He is our enemy, but he has the Advantage of not being seen by him.  Allah the Highest said:             INDEED, THE DEVIL IS YOUR ENEMY, SO TAKE HIM FOR AN ENEMY”.  (S:35 A:6)

And said: AND DO NOT FOLLOW THE FOOTSTEPS OF SATAN, FOR HE IS A CLEAR ENEMY TO YOU”.  (S:2 A:68)

Satan tempts us to do any act of disobedience, promising us false pleasures, and promises what he cannot give.  “HE (SATAN) PROMISES THEM AND GIVES THEM HOPE, BUT HIS PROMISES ARE ALL IN VAIN”.  (S:4 A:120)

Being unable to see satan and his clan is an advantage for them, but we know them by the ideas and temptations they whisper into our hearts and minds.  We all give in to such temptations sometime, but there are those who do often.  The greatest temptation is to disbelieve in Allah the Highest.  Those who give in to this temptation and disbelieve, become the devil’s close kin and ally.

We are dealing with an enemy we cannot see or hear, however, we should know him by knowing what he tries to make us do.   Our defences from Him is remembering Allah the Highest whenever we are tempted, and to seek Allah’s protection by this Sorah “SAY: I SEEK THE PROTECTION OF THE LORD IS MANKIND * THE KING OF MANKIND *THE GOD OF MANKIND * FROM  THE EVIL OF THE SNEAKING WHISPERER * WHO WHISPERS INTO PEOPLE’S CHESTS * OF THE JINN AND OF MANKIND”.  (S: 114 A:1-6)

As mention before in the explanation of Sorat Al-Baqarah

-         Satan is expelled by Ayah AlKorsy (Ayah 255 of Sorah Al-Baqarah)

-         Satan does not enter the home where Sorah Al-Baqarah is recited.

We have therefore many means of protection from Satan.

We should not put ourselves in at places of temptations; for we will then be an easier pray for Satan, as well as the wicked temptations inside us.  Allah the Highest said: “AND BY THE SOUL AND HE WHO CREATED IT * AND INSPIRED IT ITS WICKEDNESS AND ITS PIETY * SUCCEEDES HE WHO PURIFIES IT * AND LOST IS HE WHO IMPURIFIES IT”.  (S: 21 A: 7-10)

Also Allah the Highest said: DO NOT APPROACH THE EVIL SINS, MANIFEST AND HIDDEN”.  (S:6 A:151)

This means that, we should not put ourselves in a position which tempts us or makes it easier to commit such sins.
