Jun 5th, 2008 Al-Emran 21-22
21- THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE IN ALLAH’S AYAHS, KILL THE PROPHETS WITHOUT A JUST CAUSE AND KILL THOSE AMONG PEOPLE WHO COMMAND PEOPLE TO BE JUST, TELL THEM THAT THEY WILL HAVE PAINFUL PUNISHMENT. 22- THEY ARE THOSE WHO’S DEEDS WILL BE FRUITLESS BOTH IN THIS LIFE AND IN THE HEREAFTER, AND THEY WILL NOT HAVE ANY SUPPORTS.
Some people do not only do wrong, but they also encourage others to do wrong, and fight and stand against the righteous who command people to do right to the point of killing them. This used to happen to the prophets in the past. The Jews used to do that, and they still do. Abu Obaydah Ibn El-Jarah asked Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him: “Allah’s messenger, which people will be most severely punished on the Day or Resurrection”. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “A man who killed a prophet or killed those who command people to do what is right and forbid what is forbidden”. Then he read “THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE IN ALLAH’S AYAHS, KILL THE PROPHETS WITHOUT A JUST CAUSE…………..”, Then he said: “Abu Obaidah, the children of Israel killed in an hour at the beginning of the day forty three prophets. Then 170 men of the children of Israel rose and commanded them to do what is right and forbad them doing what is forbidden, and they killed them all by the end of the day. Those are those Allah the Exalted in Power and Majestic mentioned”. (Ibn Abi Hatem & Ibn Jarir) Those who do so are usually disbelievers, even if they are believers in name only. Allah the Highest promised that they shall have painful punishment. We still see this persecution and killing of those who command people to do what is right and not do what is forbidden happening by those who have faith or do not have faith. They usually persecute people who go against their interests, whether this is right or wrong, as they only care for their own interests. While in this life they tended to group together and help each other, in the Hereafter, no help will come to them, and no one will be able to support them.
