50- AND CONFIRMING THE TORAH REVEALED BEFOREHAND, AND TO MAKE LAWFUL FOR YOU SOME OF WHAT WAS MADE UNLAWFUL FOR YOU. I CAME TO YOU WITH A SIGN FROM YOUR LORD, SO FEAR ALLAH AND OBEY ME. The Torah was sent long before Jesus peace upon him. The Torah had the Law sent down to Moses peace upon him. Jesus was sent down to the Children of Israel, and he was one of them. Allah the Highest tells us that Jesus peace upon him was sent down to confirm the Torah and its content of the Law and Commands. For some reason, the Christians consider that the presence of Jesus abolished the Torah and its Law and Commands. There is nothing Jesus or God have said which leads us to this conclusion. Jesus peace upon him gave the Jews a license to some foods which Allah the Highest made unlawful for them. Some of the food was prohibited as a punishment to the Jews for doing wrong. Allah the Highest said: “BECAUSE OF THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE JEWS, WE HAVE FORBIDDEN GOOD THINGS WHICH WERE LAWFUL FOR THEM, AND BECAUSE OF THEM OBSTRUCTING ALLAH’S PATH TO MANY AND VERY OFTEN”. (S: 4 A: 160) Jesus peace upon him could not have changed the Law of his own will. Changing some articles in the law does not mean abolishing the Law to be replaced with the Law of Love. We all desire love to prevail between us, however, Allah the Highest sent laws to mankind to regulate our life, marriage, divorce, trading, inheritance, is cases of disputes and crimes. Abolishing Allah’s Law, means that man has to make law instead. Mankind is changeable, and behaves according to the wishes and desires of people, which is not the object of having a Law from God that is stable and unchangeable. We see in many societies that what Allah the Highest made unlawful being legalized. Sex out of wedlock, usury, and homosexuality to mention but a few have been made Lawful. There was a time when even racial and colour discrimination were practiced widely even in churches and was even considered Christian. In the absence of a Law from God the Almighty, mankind is free to make as much mischief as they like, even in the name of religion. Allah the Highest also armed Jesus peace upon him with many miracles as mentioned before as evidence of his prophecy. This should have been enough evidence for the Jews, however the majority of them did not believe.
