196- DO NOT BE ALLURED BY THE SUCCESS OF THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE IN THE LAND.

197- IT IS JUST LITTLE ENJOYMENT, AND THEN THEIR DESTINY IS THE HELL-FIRE, AND AN EVIL BED IT IS.

198- YET THOSE WHO GUARDED THEMSELVES FROM THEIR LORD’S DISPLEASURE WILL HAVE GARDENS WITH RIVERS FLOWING UNDERNEATH, ACCOMMODATIONS ALLAH GIVES THEM, AND WHAT ALLAH GIVES THEM IS THE BEST, IT IS FOR THE RIGHTEOUS.

Allah the Highest is comforting the believers, who see that many disbelievers do well in this life.  Allah the Highest is telling us not to be allured by them, for this is all short lived, and certainly does not reflect Allah’s pleasure.  When we are allured by them, we imitate what they do, or envy them and feel inferior. 

What they enjoy does not last and does not reflect pleasure of Allah nor does it last.  The reward Allah the Highest prepared for the righteous is much better and eternal.  Allah the Highest said: “HE WHO DESIRES THE TRANSIENT LIFE, WE WILL HASTEN TO GIVE HIM WHAT WE WILL TO WHO WE WILL, THEN WE WILL BURN HIM IN THE HELL-FIRE, DISPOSED AND HUMILIATED * AND HE WHO DESIRES THE HEREAFTER AND STRIVES FOR IT, AS IT SHOULD BE STRIVEN FOR WHILE HE IS A BELIEVER, THEIR STRIVING WILL BE REWARDED * WE GIVE THOSE AND THOSE OF YOUR LORD’S BOUNTY, FOR YOUR LORD’S BOUNTY IS NOT RESTRICTED * SEE HOW WE FAVOUR SOME TO THE OTHERS, FOR THE HEREAFTER IS HIGHER IN STATUS AND A GREATER FAVOUR”. (S: 17 A: 18-21)

Every one and any one can have the pleasures of the lower life on Earth, but only the believing righteous have the reward of the lower life.  Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “Allah gives the pleasures of the lower life to those He loves and those He does not love, and gives Faith and Religion only to those He loves.  He who has been given Faith and Religion, he has been given a great deal of bounty”.  (A: 1; 387)

Allah the Highest promises the righteous believers who guard themselves from Allah’s displeasures the Paradise for a home.  It has rivers of water, milk, honey and wine.  This will be their home forever.  It has been specially prepared for them by Allah the Highest.
