29- YOU WHO BELIEVE, DO NOT EAT UP YOUR MONEY AND PROPERTY BETWEEN YOU THROUGH FALSEHOOD, BUT LET IT BE TRADE BETWEEN YOU WITH MUTUAL GOODWILL, AND DO NOT KILL EACH OTHER, FOR ALLAH IS MOST MERCIFUL TO YOU.
30- SHOULD ANY ONE DOES THAT IN WICKEDNESS AND INJUSTICE, WE WILL BURN HIM IN THE FIRE, AND THIS IS EASY FOR ALLAH.
1- YOU WHO BELIEVE, DO NOT EAT UP YOUR MONEY AND PROPERTY BETWEEN YOU THROUGH FALSEHOOD
Allah the Highest is commanding the believers not to take others property or money through improper means, such as stealing, cheating, deceit or fraud. Allah the Highest is commanding us not to this with any one of any creed, religion or nationality, whether they believe in God or not. Honesty is a duty upon the Muslim towards every one. Allah the Highest criticized those of the people of the book who do that saying: “AND OF THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK THOSE WHOM IF YOU ENTRUST WITH A HOARD OF GOLD, WILL REPAY IT BACK, AND OF THEM THOSE WHOM IF YOU ENTRUST WITH A DINAR (GOLD COIN), THEY DO NOT PAY IT BACK UNLESS YOU ARE PERSISTENTLY DEMANDING. THIS IS BECAUSE THEY SAY: “WE HAVE NO DUTY TO THE IGNORANT (NON JEWS)”, AND THEY TELL LIES CONCERNING ALLAH WHILE THEY KNOW”. (S:3 A:75)
2- BUT LET IT BE TRADE BETWEEN YOU WITH MUTUAL GOODWILL
This is the way we may earn money, through trading; which should be conducted and concluded to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “The two dealing in a transaction should not go each of his way after agreeing a transaction, unless they are both satisfied”. (T:Beyou;27 & D:Beyou;51 & A:2;536)
This is because once the people involved in a deal depart from each other after having agreed the deal, the deal is through and binding. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “If two men deal, each of them has a choice, unless do not part and stay together, or one of them give the other a choice, if one give the other a choice and they agreed a deal on that, the deal is through, and if they part after the deal, while no one retracted, the deal is through and binding”. (M:Beyou;44 & B:Beyou;45 & N:Beyou;9 & Ma:Tegarate;17 & A:2;119)
3- AND DO NOT KILL EACH OTHER, FOR ALLAH IS MOST MERCIFUL TO YOU
We should not kill each other, and this prohibition is a Mercy from Allah the Highest. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said in his last ceremony during Hej : “Your blood and your property are as sacred amongst you, as this day, this month and this place are”. (M:Hej;19)
4- SHOULD ANY ONE DOES THAT IN WICKEDNESS AND INJUSTICE, WE WILL BURN HIM IN THE FIRE, AND THIS IS EASY FOR ALLAH.
This is a reminder for whoever dares to take another persons property, money or life of the punishment Allah the Highest prepared for him or her. And for Allah the Highest it is not a difficult or troublesome thing to do, it is easy as every thing is for Him.
