41- HOW WILL IT BE WHEN WE PRODUCE A WITNESS FOR EVERY NATION AND WE BRING YOU AS A WITNESS OVER THESE?

42- THEN THOSE WHO DISBELIEVED AND DISBELIEVE AND DISOBEY THE MESSENGER WILL WISH THAT THEY WILL BE LEVELED WITH THE GROUND, BUT THEY WILL NOT HIDE A WORD FROM ALLAH.

Allah the Highest is telling us that every prophet will be a witness over his nation.  Mohamed prayer and peace upon him will be a witness over the Muslim nation. 

Allah the Highest told us in the Quran, that Jesus peace upon him is a witness over his follower. “I TOLD THEM WHAT YOU COMMANDED ME ONLY, THAT IS TO WORSHIP ALLAH, MY LORD AND YOUR LORD, AND I WAS A WITNESS OVER THEM AS LONG AS I WAS WITH THEM, WHEN YOU CAUSED ME TO DIE, YOU WERE WATCHING OVER THEM AND YOU ARE A WITNESS OVER EVERY THING”.  (S: 5 A: 117)

As mentioned before, Allah the Highest appoints the Muslim nation or some of the Muslim nation to be witnesses over mankind.  “WE HAVE MADE YOU INTO A MIDDLE (JUST) NATION, SO THAT YOU MAY BECOME WITNESSES OVER PEOPLE, AND THE MESSENGER A WITNESS OVER YOU” (S: 2 A: 143)

Allah the Highest does not need witnesses over people, for He knows every thing, also His angels are recording all our deeds.  However, the prophets and other people will be witnesses from mankind giving evidence for or against us.  There can not be any claim of injustice from any person; particularly that the prophets peace upon them are the best example of truthfulness and integrity.

On that day, the Day of Resurrection, the disbelievers will know that every thing they denied and ridiculed is true.  They will wish to be leveled with the ground and were never resurrected.  However nothing about them will be hidden from Allah the Highest, even their talk and whisper to one another.

Allah’s messenger’s companion Abd Allah Ibn Masoud said: “Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said to me: Recite for me (meaning the Quran).  Abd Allah said: Allah’s messenger, do I recite it to you when it was sent down upon you!  He said: I like to hear it from others.  Abd Allah recited Sorah Al-Nesae until he reached “HOW WILL IT BE WHEN WE PRODUCE A WITNESS FOR EVERY NATION AND WE BRING YOU AS A WITNESS OVER THESE?”.  Allah's messenger prayer and peace upon him said: Stop.  Abd Allah said: I looked at him to find his eyes running with tears”.  (B: Tafseer Sorah 4; 9 & M: Mosafreen; 347,348 & D: Elm; 13 & T: Tafseer Sorah 4; 11)
