82- DO THEY NOT THINK ABOUT THE QURAN, FOR IF IT WAS FROM OTHER THAN ALLAH, THEY WOULD HAVE FOUND A GREAT DEAL OF DISCREPANCIES!

Another proof that the Quran is from Allah the Highest, and can only be from God, is that if any human being wrote the Quran, discrepancies, mistakes and contradictions would have been found in it.  The Quran is Allah’s own words, not inspired or guided by Allah, but Allah’s own words. 

It is therefore that the Muslims do not change a word or a letter of the Quran, and this is how it has been kept for 1400 years.

Allah the Highest made the Quran perfect in form and content.  Allah the Highest said: “PRAISE BE TO ALLAH WHO SENT THE BOOK DOWN ON HIS SLAVE AND DID NOT LET THERE BE ANY CROOKEDNESS IN IT”.  (S: 18 A: 1)

And said: “QURAN IN ARABIC WITHOUT ANY CROOKEDNESS”.  (S: 39 A: 28)

Any one who knows Arabic will notice 4 things about the Quran:

1-    The Quran as a style is very different from the style of the Hadith, which are the words of Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him.

2-    The Quran is neither poetry nor any style of verse in any form know, like article, essay, story etc.

3-    The style of the Quran is unique.  Nothing has been written in that style before or after.  It is not like any other style of writing, therefore, it can only be called Quranic Style.

4-    The Quran is Unique, not only in its style, but its eloquence, beauty, precision and richness in meaning. 

Professor Arthur J. Arberry, professor of Arabic Cambridge University, UK wrote in the introduction of his translation of the meanings of the Quran published by Oxford University Press “The Quran is a book apart, not only as a Holy Scripture for Muslims throughout the world, but as the supreme classic of Arabic Literature”.  At the end of his introduction to this translation he writes “This task was undertaken, not lightly, and carried to it’s conclusion at a time of great personal distress, through which it sustained and comforted the writer in a manner for which he will always be grateful.  He therefore acknowledges his gratitude to whatever power or Power inspired the man and the Prophet who first recited these scriptures”. This is what a non Muslim Arabic scholar had to say about the Quran.

The Quran is an everlasting miracle from Allah the Highest, for every one to see at all times.  Besides its beauty and eloquence, there is also its wisdom, and the Laws and Rules for our life for all times and places.  Every day, we find other miracles in the scientific facts mentioned in the Quran which were not and could not have been know (by man) at the time it was sent down 1400 years ago.

While Allah the Highest challenges the disbelievers to produce even the like of the shortest Sorah of the Quran, He tell them in advance that they will not be able to, even if a group of them get together to help each other.  They have not been able to do this to this day and to this day the challenge still stands.

As for the Content of the Quran, one can not find a discrepancy or contradiction.  Those who say they do; do not understand the Ayah’s meaning or take it out of context.  This is not strange for people who want to make the world doubt that the Quran is Allah’s Book and very word.

Also one will not find any discrepancy between the Quran as a book sent down on a man in Arabia 1400 years ago, and any newly discovered scientific facts.  There is a great deal published and books written about this.  I will give only 2 examples to prove the point:

1-    It is a scientific fact that the universe is expanding.  Allah the stars and galaxies move away from each other as if they are moving away from a center.  The Big Bang theory is based upon this fact.  It says that the universe was created from the explosion of a mass of very dense matter some 15-20 billion light years away.  Let us see what Allah the Highest says about this in the Quran: “AND THE HEAVEN (OR SKY) WE BUILT WITH HANDS, AND WE ARE EXPANDING IT”.  (S:91 A:47)

2-     The stars we see were created thousands, millions and billions of years ago.  The light or any radiation we receive from them travels at the speed of light which is 300 000 km/second.  Therefore the light or radiations we receive from them, has been travelling for possibly billions of years.  What we see is not the present, but a very very distant past.

The stars are not stationary; they travel in the space at very high speeds.  Their course is affected by the gravitational pull from other stars, therefore they may change course, and they may also explode or get swallowed by a black hole.

Even the light and radiations coming from the stars do not travel in a straight line.  Their course is affected by the gravity of the big stars they pass by, and their course can be deviated several times until they reach us.

Therefore, the positions we see the stars in now is really history, it is where they were many years ago, also the light and radiation travelling from them was diverted several time.  In fact the stars are not where we see them with our eyes or different telescopes.  Only Allah the Highest knows where they are.  Allah the Highest said about this:

“I WILL NOT MAKE AN OATH BY THE POSITIONS OF THE STARS * AND IT IS A GREAT OATH, IF YOU KNOW”.  (S: 56 A: 75-76)

These were just examples and there are many more, they:

-         Prove that there is no discrepancy between the Quran and scientific facts.

-         Also they are a proof of the authenticity of the Quran, that it is Allah’s very word.
